Our vision is to end loneliness on the eastside!
A great crisis of our age is loneliness. People long for friendship but feel disconnected and alone. People long for meaningful community and to share in a common cause but feel adrift and purposeless. This is especially true on the east side. Many people here have moved from their roots of home and family for work. The east side can be a very lonely place. Maybe it is for you.
We believe that a personal and intimate relationship to God is the only real and lasting solution to human loneliness, to your loneliness. We believe that you are made in God’s image and worth dying for. We believe that your heart can only find rest and joy when loneliness is transformed into solitude with God.
The good news of the Bible is that through faith in Jesus Christ you come into a personal relationship with God. Jesus also brings you into a new human family, the church. Old cultural, ethnic, political and economic divides are bridged by our new identity as sons and daughters of God and love for Jesus and each other. The ache of your lonely heart is healed as you experience God’s love for you as his beloved son or daughter and find community in his family.
Everything we do as a church seeks to lead people from loneliness to intimacy with God and community with each other in and through Jesus Christ.
